my list

I signed up online today for phone service with SBC. After considering the many options I was one click away from finalizing my order. Instead I clicked the link to reconsider my long distance provider. The penalty for making that choice was having to click through about ten pages of options that I had seen before. There was no direct way to return to the final page.

SBC, you're almost on my list.

flow

Whatever you may be doing, sometimes you get a flow going. Each action you take is connected and focused.

John Kerry is getting his flow going. I watch him on last night's Letterman show. He speaks much more effectively than earlier in this campaign. Hope is here, oh yeah.

do not call

A telemarketer called even though this number is on the do not call list. The telemarketer said the list doesn't apply to him since he was calling from out of the country. True? I don't know. Grrr.

errand day

It took only 32 days for a subscription to the Sporting News to begin after I bought it on eBay as a gift. The cost of a two-year subscription on eBay was $7.49. A one-year subscription on Amazon.com is $39.60. It is a mystery.

Speaking of prices, this errand day included the purchase of two dozen night crawlers. They were $2.25/dozen. Night crawlers are not available on Amazon.com.

draws

Fun fact: there are only three distinct tic-tac-toe endings that are draws. (Two endings are not distinct if they are the same except for being oriented differently.)
